Ahimsa (アヒムサ, Ahimusa) is a thief from India in the Virgo Chapter of Shiori Teshirogi's manga, Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas Gaiden.

History[]

Ahimsa was a thief that lived in India and stole the possessions of the dead, at one time stealing the gold leaves covering the Buddha statues in order to support his sick mother. Ahimsa was captured and sent to an Ascetic monastery as punishment for his theft. Ahimsa, resistant to the ideology of ascetics, met Virgo Asmita, who, regardless of his afflictions and injuries, was still a child seeking enlightenment. The meeting changed the vision Ahimsa had of the world. Fifteen years later, Ahimsa dies and ends up in hell, strangely keeping his own will. Skeleton guards are having fun torturing him, when the adult Virgo Asmita arrives and saves his old friend, although obviously incapable of bringing him back to the world of the living. Kagebōshi then offers Ahimsa the chance to become a Specter, the Star of Oppression, regenerating his damaged body and promising him eternal life in exchange for following the Atavaka Specter. The negotiations are quickly interrupted by Asmita, who gets rid of the Specter and decides to go to the famous Atavaka himself.
