Cygnus Magnus is one of the Knights of Athena in Netflix's animated series SAINT SEIYA: Knights of the Zodiac. He trained in Siberia to become the Bronze Knight of the Cygnus constellation. His signature technique, "Diamond Dust", uses Cosmo to send out waves of sub-zero cold.

Appearance

Magnus is a young man with blond hair, blue eyes, and a slim build. His Cygnus armor is comprised of a white body suit made up of hexagonal tiles of unknown composition. The overlays of the armor are platinum in color with with steel blue highlights centered around a swan's head sculpted onto the breast plate and pauldrons reminiscent of feathers. His casual attire is composed of a blue sleeveless shirt and black pants with black shoes.

Personality

Magnus initially comes off as stoic, sadistic, and aloof. He is very dutiful, accepting his orders from Sanctuary to assassinate Athena without question, but when given reason to question his orders, he shirks them. A reasonable and logical man, Magnus is quick to call others out on their apparent lack of sanity when they make questionable judgment calls, despite the successes of such decisions. He is somewhat dry and cynical in his sense of humor.

Magnus is playful in combat, enjoying the thrill of antagonizing both teammates and enemies alike, remaining irreverent and cocky.

Abilities and skills

• Cosmo manipulation: Magnus possesses the ability to manipulate the power of the atoms in his body to achieve a range of supernatural feats and powers.
  • Superhuman strength: Magnus is capable of exerting force far beyond the limits of the finest human athletes. His strength is sufficient to allow him to leap dozens of feat into the air.
  • Superhuman speed: Magnus is able to move at speeds far faster than the finest Olympic sprinters, capable of keeping pace with military helicopters.
  • Superhuman durability: Magnus can withstand physical forces exerted against him that no normal human can survive. This extends to his resistance to the cold, able to dive deep underwater for extended periods of time in the freezing arctic with no discernible effort or affect from hypothermia.
  • Superhuman agility: Magnus is able to move with deftness and ease far beyond the limits of any trained gymnast.
  • Superhuman senses: Magnus' perceptions enable him to see in near-total darkness, detect the presence of Cosmo in others, and track such signatures over vast differences. His sense of sight can keep up even with Seiya's hypersonic movements.
  • Accelerated healing: By utilizing Cosmo, Magnus can heal his bodily tissues in a short amount of time, though this power has its limits.
  • Energy projection: Magnus is able to project his Cosmo as an energy blast sufficient to penetrate tank armor and kill the pilots inside.
  • Cryokinesis: His signature ability, Magnus can generate and manipulate ice and snow at will with his Cosmo.
