Constellation and Mythology
The Fox Cloth is based on the constellation of Vulpecula, the “little fox”. Initially Vulpecula was a constellation depicting a fox with the constellation of the goose (Anser) in its mouth, but later the constellation of Anser was removed, leaving only the fox in the night sky.
