Garmr Útgarðar (ガルムのウートガルザ, Garumu no Ūtogaruza) is one of new seven God Warriors, warriors who protect Asgard and serve Andreas.

Appearance[]

Utgardr is a man of average height with long, messy black hair. His God Cloth is dark purple with maroon trimming that covers majority of his body, including his face. His Odin Sapphire is located at the waistline area of his torso piece. He is typically seen carrying a large, curved maroon sword.

Personality[]

Utgardr is a pretty quiet person, never saying a word during the God Warriors' reunions and never socializing. That may be for Utgardr to never give any hint about his true mission. The only time that he is heard talking is during the fight against Dohko.

Background[]

While most of his background is a mystery partly due to his silent behavior as nobody knew about his past until he fought Frodi and the truth was revealed. Utgardr is from a family that acts as the shield of darkness that protects Asgard, mirroring Frodi's family that is the sword of light that protects Asgard against the incoming threats. It is said that when members of these families fight each other one of them is destined to die and Utgardr was the unlucky one when he fought Frodi, though it might be considered lucky since he fulfilled his mission which had a part in the Gold Saints eventual victory.

Battles[]

Utgardr debuted in episode 4 when the God Warriors were gathered by Andreas to discuss the Gold Saints. At the end of the reunion, Utgardr can be seen secretly listening in on the conversation between Fafner and Andreas about the experiment to create the new Odin sapphires.

Later, in episode 7, he fought Libra Dohko at Helheim, the chamber he protects. Then, in episode 9 Utgardr destroyed his own chamber in order to keep his mission going and later in the episode he went to Vanaheim and murdered Lyfia who was trying to stop the fight between Frodi and Aiolia. Frodi became berserk and defeated Utgardr, killing him and destroying Vanaheim's statue. Frodi then saw that inside Utgardr's body there was something shining, the Odin robe. It was then that the truth was revealed; Utgardr knew Loki's evil plan to rule the world so he revived as an Eihenjar and hid the Odin robe from Loki's sight. He orchestrated everything perfectly and found a way to give the Odin robe to someone who could defeat Loki.
