Julian Solo ( ソロ·ジュリアン , Soro Jurian ) is the host of Poseidon reincarnated in the 20 or 21th century in Saint Seiya. Julian was the billionaire heir of the Solo family, who made their fortune in maritime business. When he was 16 years old he was led to the Underwater Fortress where he met the Mariners.
Personality[]
Julian was idealistic and charismatic, with a natural charm that drew others to him. Yet, he was also ambitious and capricious, accustomed to getting what he wanted without resistance. When Saori rejected his proposal, one he believed no one could or would refuse, he was stunned. It wasn’t only pride that was wounded; it was a rupture in his worldview. For Julian, who had always believed the world would bend to his will, this defiance became a spark, one that ignited both his divine destiny and his dangerous obsession.
As a child, Julian was a noble-hearted boy with a deep love for the sea. He cherished its waters and all the creatures that lived within, as once seen him helping stranded fish return to the ocean with quiet compassion. As he grew older and became the heir to his family’s vast maritime empire, Julian maintained his bond with the sea, but his perspective shifted. Though his admiration never faded, it matured; he came to see the ocean not only as a source of wonder, but also as a force of power and purpose, central to the world of commerce and the business he inherited.
Later, when he is defeated, he seems to feel inwardly sickened by the his actions actions while possessing by Poseidon. He donates great past his fortune to help flood victims and embarks on a journey of self redemption to help children orphaned by the floods. This demonstrates Julian's has a more altruistic side, despite his ego.

Julian has a reputation for being a handsome young man, so much so that even Saori , who had never met him in person, mentions that she had heard he was very handsome and intelligent. He has a very elegant bearing and a face with fine features, as well as fir body with long blond hair (blue in the anime), which gives him a very attractive appearance. He mostly wears a tuxedo suit with a white jacket and black or white pants.
In the anime, when he arrived at the Underwater Temple , he changed his outfit to a white robe with an indigo stole hanging from his shoulders.

Poseidon always choose Solo family's members to become his host due to the relation of this family has the seas. In the 20th century, Julian Solo was the host of Poseidon. Julian is the last descendant of the prosperous Solo family, who made their fortune through maritime trade, and due to the connection that Poseidon has with his family since mythological times, this god chooses him as the host of his soul .
When Kanon releases Poseidon's spirit from Athena's Vessel , his soul lodges in the body of little Julian, only 3 years old, waiting for the moment when the war begins. At some point in his childhood, Julian was walking along the shore of a beach when he found a fish tangled in some hooks and returned it to the sea, what he did not know is that that fish would become years later his faithful warrior, Thetis the Mermaid .
It is not known when, but Julian's parents died before he turned 16, leaving him as the sole heir to the family fortune, having to take charge of all his family's businesses.
Poseidon saga[]
Saori attends Julian's 16th birthday party, due to her grandfather being a friend of Julian's father . Saori was explaining to Tatsumi the importance of Julian as the new leader of the Solo Family, when Julian overhears her and thanks her for her compliments, so he suggests they go somewhere more private. Julian tells Saori about his ambitions to expand globally through his family's maritime business, because whoever controls the seas controls the world. And Julian asks Saori to share that dream with him and proposes to her, as he says that he felt something special when he saw her, as if it wasn't the first time they met in the world and feels like he has met her again and again since the mythological age. Saori laughs and answers that she appreciates Julian's proposal, but rejects it and leaves, which leaves his ego bruised and unconformed that she dared to reject him.
Still shocked by Saori's refusal, he notices something shining in the distance in the old ruins of a Temple of Poseidon, located high above Cape Sounion , and is drawn there. Upon arriving, Julian finds a glowing Trident and before him appears a beautiful woman who introduces herself as Thetis the Mermaid , a servant in Poseidon's army and who will now serve him, as she is the reincarnation of the ruler of the seas, the god Poseidon. At the revelation, Julian is totally shocked and, before he can react, Thetis throws herself with him into the sea, crossing it until they reach the seabed.
In the Underwater Temple , Julian is shocked to see how the sea water is above him as if it were the sky and that he can move as if he were on the surface. Julian appears briefly in a memory in which he is seen with Sorrento visiting an orphanage and living happily with the children of the place.
