The Lizard Cloth is a cloth worn by Misty in Saint Seiya and by an unknown Saint in Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas. It is of the second class of the cloths that Athena's Saints wield, the Silver Cloths.
Mythology[]
The Lacerta constellation is one of the more modern constellations that lacks any real myth behind it.
A lizard however does make a minor appearance in Greek myth; when the goddess Demeter first realized her daughter Persephone was missing, not knowing the girl had been kidnapped by Hades, Demeter began weeping heavily. A young boy saw her and, having never seen an adult cry before, started laughing. Angered, Demeter turned the boy into a lizard for his insensitivity.
Pretty Boy[]
Misty trained to be a Saint in Côte d'Azur, France by an unknown master. The cloth was likely kept in Sanctuary until a Saint worthy of wearing it was found. He follows the orders of the Pope, and is the first Silver Saint to attack Seiya and his fellow Bronze Saints. He manages to do some damage to Seiya, but falls due to his own avoidance of damage, and Seiya's growth.
Previous War[]
The Cloth was seen briefly at the beginning of the holy war, and during a gathering of Saints in Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, but has only rarely been seen since.
Special Abilities of Silver Cloth of Lizard[]
The Lizard Silver Cloth, while having all of the strength and endurance of a Silver Cloth, has no special traits that make it stand out as a cloth.
Techniques used by Lizard Saints[]
Misty uses two major techniques during his various fights.
- Mavrou Trypa: An offensive technique used by Misty. With one's cosmo in one's hand, it is forced forward, and a powerful force hits the foe, sending them flying back.
- Unnamed Air Barrier: An unnamed defensive technique. Moving his hands up and down at high speed, he creates a barrier of air to reflect any coming attacks.
