Peacock Pavlín (孔雀座のパブリーン, Pīkokku no Paburīn) is the Peacock Silver Saint, and Aquila Yuna's mentor. A master of ice-based techniques, Pavlin can use the element of Water.
Pavlin is the very model of a Silver Saint, being kind and gentle, yet righteous and powerful. Like her student, she is dedicated to protecting those around her. After Mars' takeover of the Sanctuary, Pavlin appeared alongside the "traitorous" Silver Saints, appearing cold and unfeeling towards even Aquila Yuna. However this was merely a ruse to test the strength and convictions of the Bronze Saints, knowing they had to be ready to face the danger ahead of them.
Some time after Mars' was defeated by Sagittarius Seiya and the Bronze Saints, Pavlin encountered a young girl (Yuna) attempting to escape after stealing bread from a local bakery in a snow-covered town. Stopping the young thief, Pavlin protected her from the baker's wrath, who asked if she intended to pay for the bread herself. Pavlin declared she would not pay for Yuna's bread, but suggested that Yuna simply work to repay for the bread she stole, hoping to set the girl onto a better path. Pavlin would later informally adopt Yuna as her daughter, and begin training the young orphan to become a Saint. To Yuna's displeasure, this would include the tradition of wearing masks to sacrifice the femininity of female saints.
Road to Earth Ruins
Years later, Mars takes takes over the the Sanctuary using a Aria as a false Athena, and thereby commands the loyalty of the Saints. When Aria is freed from Mars's control by Yuna and her companions, Mars orders his daughter, Hornet Sonia, to send several Silver Saints to recover her, but without success. Pavlin eventually volunteers to go and apprehend the rebel Saints, aware that one of them is her student. Pavlin finds Yuna in the ruins of the city where they met years ago, abandoned and ravaged by war. Pavlin rebukes Yuna for not wearing her mask and does not listen to reason when her apprentice tries to convince her of the truth about Mars. In the middle of their battle, Yuna achieves victory using the technique Aquila Spinning Predation, causing Pavlin to admit she is very proud of her.
The master and student are then ambushed by three Silver Saints, Sagitta Sham , Reticulum Balazo and Auriga Almaaz, who were ordered to follow Pavlin in the event she attempt to defect from Mars. Yuna and Pavlin stand together against the Silver Saints, where Pavlin reveals that she is faithful to the true Athena, Saori Kido, and reveals Mars is indeed keeping her alive. Pavlin orders Yuna to rejoin the other Bronze Saints and flee while while she takes care of their enemies, removing her mask and revealing her true face to Yuna, proud of her convictions to her beliefs. The Silver Saints reproach Pavlin for breaking the laws by showing her face to them, but she refutes this, stating that a female Saint must love or kill any man she reveals her face to, and she has yet to do either...right before unleashing her final technique, Blizzard Peacock, to kill all three Silver Saints at once, seemingly losing her own life in the process.

Pavo is a constellation in the southern sky. Its name is Latin for peacock. It is one of twelve constellations created by Petrus Plancius from the observations of Pieter Dirkszoon Keyser and Frederick de Houtman and it first appeared on a 35-cm diameter celestial globe published in 1597 (or 1598) in Amsterdam by Plancius with Jodocus Hondius. The first depiction of this constellation in a celestial atlas was in Johann Bayer's Uranometria of 1603.
- Pavlin's abilities and techniques bear a visual similarity to those of Aquarius Camus, the previous gold saint of Aquarius, as well as his anime-only student Crystal Saint. So far however, these similarities appear to be mere coincidence.
- In Russian Pavlin means peacock.
